Ingredients

  • 75g Whirl Butter Alternative Unsalted
  • 50g demerara sugar
  • 200g oats (GF)
  • 100g golden syrup
  • 2tbs ground almonds
  • 1tsp almond essence
  • 50g chopped glace cherries

Method

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas Mark 4. Line a 3cm deep 28cm by 18cm baking tray with parchment paper.

  2. Melt the sugar, syrup and Whirl Butter Alternative over a low heat until the sugar has dissolved.

  3. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well turn out into the prepared baking tray and press down firmly.

  4. Bake for about 30 minutes until golden brown and crisp remove from the oven allow to cool a little before cutting then leave to cool completely before removing from the tray.
