Garlic mash pots

Ingredients

  • 500g Baking potatoes
  • 2 tbsp Garlic & Herb Whirl
  • Salt and pepper

Products Used: Garlic & Herb Whirl

Garlic herb whirl

Method

  1. Peel and chop the potatoes. Rinse thoroughly.

  2. Cook the potatoes in a pan of boiling salted water until soft and easily falling off the knife.

  3. Remove from the hob and drain through a colander.

  4. Return the potatoes to the pan and mash (use a potato ricer if preferred).

  5. Place the pan over a low heat and stir the potatoes round to dry slightly, ensuring they don’t stick or burn on the base (this allows for a fluffier mash).

  6. Remove from the pan from the hob and mix in the Garlic & Herb Whirl.

  7. Season to taste before serving. Add grated cheese, cooked bacon or sautéed savoy cabbage for a variation.
