Lion Sauces Smoky BBQ Beans

- 3tbs Lion Louisiana BBQ Sauce
- 1tsp Original Whirl Butter Alternative
- 1 chopped onion
- 2 garlic cloves chopped
- 1 tin borlotti beans drained
- 1 tin black beans drained
- 1 tin butter beans or any other bean you like
- 1 tin chopped tomatoes
- 2tbs tomato puree
- 1tsp smoked paprika
- 1tsp dried marjoram
- 1 bay leaf
Place the Original Whirl Butter Alternative in a large heavy bottom pan and sauté the garlic and onion over medium heat to soften for 3-5 minutes.
Add the Lion Louisiana BBQ Sauce, bay leaf, chopped tomatoes, tomato puree, marjoram and smoked paprika simmer for 5 minutes with the lip on.
Now add the drained beans and simmer for a further 15 minutes with the lid on.
Season with salt and pepper if required and serve on a bed of Creamy Polenta Mash from the Lion recipe range.
