  • 3tbs Lion Louisiana BBQ Sauce
  • 1tsp Original Whirl Butter Alternative
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 garlic cloves chopped
  • 1 tin borlotti beans drained
  • 1 tin black beans drained
  • 1 tin butter beans or any other bean you like
  • 1 tin chopped tomatoes
  • 2tbs tomato puree
  • 1tsp smoked paprika
  • 1tsp dried marjoram
  • 1 bay leaf
  1. Place the Original Whirl Butter Alternative in a large heavy bottom pan and sauté the garlic and onion over medium heat to soften for 3-5 minutes.

  2. Add the Lion Louisiana BBQ Sauce, bay leaf, chopped tomatoes, tomato puree, marjoram and smoked paprika simmer for 5 minutes with the lip on.

  3. Now add the drained beans and simmer for a further 15 minutes with the lid on.

  4. Season with salt and pepper if required and serve on a bed of Creamy Polenta Mash from the Lion recipe range.
