Lion Sauce Patatas Bravas With Piri Piri Hot Sauce

- 2tbs Lion Original Piri Piri Hot Sauce
- 1tbs Whirl Butter Alternative
- 1 Diced Onion
- 2 Crushed Cloves of Garlic
- 1 Can of Chopped Tomatoes
- 1tbs Tomato Puree
- 1tbs Paprika
- 1tbs Smoked Paprika
- 1kg Peeled Potatoes cut into small chunks
- Sea Salt & Black Pepper
Heat the oil in a large sauce pan sauté the onions and garlic to soften but not brown about 3 minutes.
Stir in the Lion Original Piri Piri Hot Sauce, tomatoes, tomato puree, smoked paprika and sugar. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes until thickened slightly and pulpy.
Meanwhile heat the oil in a deep fryer to 160°C (preferably olive oil) and deep fry the potatoes for 5 minutes. Drain and cool slightly.
Turn up the fryer to 180°C and fry for a further 5 minutes until golden and crisp. Place in a deep bowl pour over the hot sauce and serve.
