Bring a large pan of salted water to a boil and cook the linguini for 2 minutes less than the pack instructions to ensure it is 'Al dente'. Drain, keeping a little of the cooking water for the sauce.
In a separate large skillet heat the Whirl butter alternative over medium heat. Sauté the onions and garlic for 4 minutes add the red and green peppers. Cook for a further 4 minutes and add the tomato halves and warm through.
