Ingredients
- 50g Unsalted Whirl Butter Alternative
- 150g brown sugar
- 100ml almond milk
- 50g flaked almonds
- 1/4tsp almond essence
- 1tsp corn flour

Method
Heat the sugar and the Unsalted Whirl Butter Alternative in a heavy based pan for 5 minutes until bubbling.
Mix the cornflour with a little almond milk to make a paste, then add the remaining almond milk.
Slowly add in the cornflour, almond milk and the almond essence and gently simmer for 15 minutes.
Now add the flaked almonds, warm through and remove from the heat. The sauce is great poured over pancakes or ice cream.
