Festive feasting is all about delicious flavours, rich colours and sumptuous textures – something a little different from the everyday. Lion’s new range of chef-made chutneys, sauces, dressings and fruit compotes provide perfect inspiration for Christmas menus.

With many products handmade in small batches or slow-cooked for intense flavour, the range brings premium restaurant quality to every caterer.

Lion Beetroot and Horseradish Chutney, with its deep red, glossy appearance, pairs beautifully with hot smoked salmon or mini Yorkshire puddings filled with roast beef.

Lion Chunky Chilli Jam is sensational with ’nduja-filled arancini, cured meats and grilled halloumi, while Lion Mixed Pepper Confit is delicious baked into the top of a whole Camembert.

Chutneys offer a short-cut to fantastic vegan options, such as filo parcels stuffed with smashed butterbeans and spinach, served with Lion Fig & Date Chutney. Serve hunks of fresh baguette with halved vegan sausages, sliced tomatoes and Lion Caramelised Red Onion Chutney; or baked balls of crushed green lentils, sweet potato and broad beans with a Lion Chilli, Lime & Lemongrass dip.

Real fruit compotes make light work of sweet offerings. Offer sliced baked cheesecake, or warm, freshly-baked muffins, topped with mixed seeds, berries and toasted granola, with a choice of Red Berry, Blackberry, or Mango, Passionfruit & Lime Compotes.
