Fillet Steak with Red Wine Gravy

Ingredients

  • 2 Fillet Steaks
  • 10ml Vegetables Oil
  • 20ml Garlic & Herb Whirl

Garlic and herb whirl

Method

  1. Remove the fillet steaks from the fridge and allow to come up to room temperature before cooking.

  2. Heat a large heavy based skillet/ griddle pan on the hob.

  3. Lightly oil the outside of each fillet steak.

  4. When the pan has heated up to a medium/ high heat place the fillet steaks in the pan.

  5. Cook for 2-3 minutes on the first side then turn oven and reduce the heat to medium.

  6. Cook again for 2-3 minutes until the desired texture has been achieved.

  7. Put the Garlic & Herb Whirl into the griddle pan and baste each fillet steak with the Garlic & Herb Whirl.

  8. Remove from the pan and allow the steak to rest for 3-4 minutes in a warm place before serving.

  9. Season with salt and pepper at point of service.
